Departure for a wonderful trip that will allow to admire the attractive farming tradition of our country.
The tour starts passing by the cities of Rancagua and San Fernando, established during the XVIII century, and located in the middle of the fruit and vineyard growing region, of the fertile central zone.
The tour continues to visit the remarkable cellars of the Bisquert Winery, whose outstanding and world famous wines can be tasted and purchased on site. This winery has always been owned by traditional families and pioneers of the zone. During the 1990s, they completed the platation of 400 hectares including differents varietes of grapes, such us: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chardonnay, wich has been successfully exported worldwide.
Afterwards, we proceed to Santa Cruz and visit La Posada Winery, where lunch will be served.
After a guided visit including all the installations of wine processing and tasted some of the wines produced by the vineyard, tour continues to the magnificent Colchagua Museum, the largest private museum in Chile, and famous for its valuable Pre-Columbian art exhibition, including a ceremonial mask from the Moche culture, among other fantastic archaeological treasures. Also it is worth noting a fabulous collection of amber objects which contains trapped insects and plants from millions years ago. Manuscripts and objects from the Independence period, together with pavillions dedicated to the Conquest and Colonial periods of the country, constitute and exhibition of the highest historical value. Besides, interesting collections of paintings and liturgical art, made of gold, silver and ivory, are on display.
